DESCRIPTION
Screen printing is a printing technique that transfers ink onto a textile using silk screens. Each color is applied individually through a finely meshed screen, enabling sharp, long-lasting prints of your visual or logo.
ADVANTAGES
- Affordable for medium to high-volume orders
- Versatile in terms of colors and fabric types
- Accurate reproduction of fine details and intricate patterns
- Exceptional durability, wash after wash
DISADVANTAGES
- Dependent on low-volume orders due to high initial costs for screen creation
- Limitations in terms of color gradation and subtle nuances
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Screen printing can have a negative environmental impact due to the use of solvent-based inks and chemicals to clean the screens. That's why we limit the use of plastisol-based inks as much as possible, opting instead for recycled or water-based inks.
ORIGIN
Screen printing originated in the Far East and has evolved over the centuries. Its earliest traces date back to 1000 B.C. in China, where silk screens were used to create motifs on various substrates. Since then, it has evolved into a versatile technique used in a variety of industries, including fashion and textiles.
